First aid is the immediat assistance or treatment given to to victim of sudden illness or injury. The aim of administering first aid is to preserve life, limit effest of the condition and promot recovry.

if victime is not breathing,give rescue breathing

adult

1-titl head back, lift chin and pinch nose.

2-give2 slow breaths, breathe in until chest rises.

3-check for pulse.

If pulse is present but victim is still not breathing:

4-give 1 slow breath every 5 seconds for 1 minut.

Child

1-titl head back, lift chin and pinch nose.

2-give2 slow breaths, breathe in until chest rises.

3-check for pulse.

If pulse is present but victim is still not breathing:

4-give 1 slow breath every 3 seconds for 1 minut.

Infant

1-tilt head back, lift chin andseal lips around the mounth and nose.

2-give 2sloww breathe in until chest rise.

3-check for pulse.

If pulse is present but infant is still not breathing:

4-give 1 slow breath every 3 seconds for 1 minute.

If victim is not breathing and has no pulse, give CPR

Adult

1-find hand position on breastbone.

2-compress chest 15 times.

3-give 2 slow breaths.

4-do 3 more sets of 15 compressions and 2 breaths.

5-recheck pulse.

If there is no pulse:

6-contunie sets of 15 compressions and 2 breaths.

Child/infant

1-find hand /fingers position on breastboneon the center of breastbone.

2- compress chest 5 times.

3-give 1 slow breaths.

4-repeat 12 cycles of 5 compressions and 1 breath.

5-check pulse.

If there is still no pulse:

6-contunue sets of 5 compressions and 1 breath

CPR: is the technique that is used when the victim is not breathing and has no pulse. it is a combination of chest compressions and rescue breathing . tha victim's chances of survival are good if CPR is started promptly.
