انا راسلتهم وده كان ردهم بس اعتقد شروطها صعبه شوي
 Dear abdelrahman mostafa

Thank you for your interest in pilot training. We run two schools, the Adelaide Flight Training Centre (AFTC) who look after our privately funded students and Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) who looks after our airline sponsored cadets.
FTA is one of the world's finest airline pilot training schools employing 135 staff and providing flying training and residential facilities for up to 200 airline cadet pilots from many of the world's best airlines. The FTA College trains airline sponsored cadets from leading global aviation companies, including Emirates, Dragonair, Cathay Pacific, JAL Express. Qantas, Hong Kong Government Flying Service and China Rescue and Salvage Bureau for helicopter training. For more information on airline sponsored cadetships I suggest to go to the web sites of the airlines as we have nothing to do with the selection process for these cadetships. Please note that Cathay Pacific are taking applications for their sponsored cadet pilot program from individuals of any nationality that meet their criteria. For more information and to apply on line, please go to Cathay's Careers web page.
The Adelaide Flight Training Centre (AFTC) is a subsidiary of Flight Training Adelaide Pty Ltd (FTA). The AFTC is a non-residential flying school that provides both recreational and vocational pilot training for privately funded students. Accommodation options and information relating to overseas students and visa's etc. are available on our website. The AFTC operates under the Flight Training Adelaide Commonwealth Register of Institutions & Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider code is 02649J. Our visa subclass is 572, Vocational Education and Training (VET).
Please note that, English language training, ATPL theory, Instructor Rating & multi crew programs are not available at the AFTC. These are only available at FTA as part of a sponsored airline program.
The AFTC can provide approved training for most Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Licences & Ratings including a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL - Certificate IV in Aviation) and Command Instrument Rating (multi engine endorsement in a Beech BE76 - subject to availability of resources - CIR-ME). The AFTC can offer the Diploma of Aviation (which includes the CPL and CIR-ME).
ICAO is the International body regarding Aviation and Safety and each country has their own Civil Aviation Regulator. In Australia , we have CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) and CASA follow or base their standards on the ICAO standards but all training at the AFTC is for a CASA licence which is ICAO recognised. CASA has the primary responsibility for the maintenance, enhancement and promotion of safety for civil aviation in Australia . The CASA training syllabus and testing standards are considered superior as compared to other countries. Many aviation regulatory authorities have appreciated, recognised and adopted the various initiatives taken and contributions made by CASA towards promoting aviation safety worldwide. To view the CASA Day VFR Syllabus that our training is based on please follow this link; https://casa.gov.au/fcl/vfrday.htm

The AFTC operates 7 days a week from Anderson Drive, Ground Floor, Control Tower Building, Parafield Airport, South Australia. It is equipped with its own lecture and briefing rooms, reception, kitchen facilities, toilets, flight planning and meteorological services. Our aircraft and simulators are all first class and are subject to strict maintenance and servicing schedules.

The AFTC can offer two programs for a Commercial Pilot Licence (Certificate IV in Aviation AVI40108):

1. A full time Integrated program for CPL (Certificate IV in Aviation) which combines flying and full ground theory training for BAK, PPL and CPL in a classroom environment (156.2 hours of flying) - the course runs for approx. 12 months. This course is for aspiring pilots and integrates flying and ground training to CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) standard for the issue of an Australian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Night Visual Flight Rules (NVFR). Please find attached more information on this course with pricing etc.

Course dates for the full time integrated courses are:: 8 August, 19 September, 26 September, 16 January 2012 and 13 February 2012.

2. Self Study the theory for BAK, PPL and CPL on your own time (the AFTC Brochure outlines this program - students can start at any time) - please let me know if you would like pricing for our self study fixed wing programs.

If you are interested in the Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating (MECIR) program as well, you can still enrol for the Integrated CPL/NVFR course and then enrol for the MECIR program after completing the integrated CPL Course. The MECIR will take approx. 4 months to complete. The IREX exams needs to be passed before starting on the flying program. A Diploma of Aviation (AVI50408) will be issued after completing the CPL/CIR. You may need to self study the IREX but the AFTC do run ad hoc theory courses on an as needs basis and dependant on student numbers. You can do the CIR in a single or twin/multi engine aircraft. We offer the MECIR program dependant on availability of our twin engine aircraft and Instructors. Fees for the CIR are attached (total hours for MECIR is 77.5).
The AFTC requires no formal educational qualifications to train as a pilot (other than English) but to obtain a commercial pilot licence an educational background in Maths and Physics will help but is not a prerequisite. Students also need to be a minimum of 18 years old at commencement of training.

Overseas students need ensure that an Australian CASA Licence is recognised by the aviation regulator in their country and determine what sort of conversion terms exist if they wish to convert an Australian licence to another licence at the completion of the training. The AFTC can offer a 200 hour CPL syllabus plus hours building if required.

General English test criteria - From 01 January 2009, Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) adopted the international language standards (ICAO) for pilots and air traffic controllers to ensure all communication in the air is clear and accurate. Applicants/student pilots applying for a Student Pilot Licence (SPL) shall be assessed by our Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) as having at least the minimum proficiency to communicate orally in the English language, to enable the student pilot to safely conduct flying operations. Applicants must present to our CFI with evidence that they meet one of the criteria listed in subsection 8 of CAO 40.0.The options include:
  1. completion of a secondary education in an Australian or New Zealand educational institution;
  2. completion of at least the equivalent of an Australian secondary education in an educational institution in a country where 1 of the principal mediums of instructions was English;
  3. is receiving secondary education in an Australian or New Zealand educational institution and the language of instruction is English;
  4. worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the 5 years immediately before applying for the student pilot licence;
  5. worked in a specified country for at least 3 of the 5 years immediately before applying for the student pilot licence;
  6. successfully completed one of the following English language proficiency tests:
    1. The General or Academic Training Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5 on condition that no single test area has a score of less than 5.0.
    2. Test of English for International Communication-Secure Program (TOEIC‑Secure Program/Public Testing Centre) with the following minimum test scores:
      1. listening — 350
      2. reading — 300
      3. speaking — 160
      4. writing — 140.
    3. Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based test (TOEFL iBT) with a test score of 71.
    4. Test of English as a Foreign Language computer-based test (TOEFL CBT) with a test score of 197.
    5. Test of English as a Foreign Language paper-based test (TOEFL PB) with a test score of 530.
All students need to have a CASA medical prior to training. Before they go for a medical they need to apply to CASA for an Aviation Reference Number (ARN) a unique identification number. For information on CASA Aviation Medicals, CASA English Language Requirements, Student Pilot Licence (SPL) and Security Check please visit the CASA website www.casa.gov.au <https://www.casa.gov.au/> .

Please download the AFTC Brochure from our website for more information on the AFTC, CASA requirements, learning to fly and our fleet, etc. There is a separate document for International Students with information on ESOS, Student Visas, English Language Requirements and English courses in Adelaide, and Accommodation options etc.
Theory - For students not enrolled on our full time integrated flying and theory courses, the AFTC do run ad hoc theory courses from time to time depending on student numbers.

Student Visa - Students who wish to study full time for a period longer than 3 months will require a Student Visa. An information pack and the relevant application forms can be obtained from your nearest Australian Embassy or Consulate, or by visiting the Department of Immigration web site at www.immi.gov.au <https://www.immi.gov.au/> (located under visiting Australia, study) . A student visa can take from 1 to 3 months to process and some offices may take longer. The AFTC operates under the Flight Training Adelaide Commonwealth Register of Institutions & Courses for Overseas Students CRICOS) provider code is 02649J. Our visa subclass is 572, Vocational Education and Training (VET). All overseas students should have advanced English skills. Please refer to the above paragraph on General English requirements from CASA. More information for overseas students is available on our website.

Career outlook for self funded fixed wing pilots - Usually for qualified pilots to gain a job as an Airline Pilot they must get experience. This is often measured by flying hours. Different airlines have different policies relating to the required flying experience for recruits and it is best to contact prospective employers to seek advice on this matter. However, it is common for airlines to require in excess of 500 - 1000 hours total flying time before considering someone for a position (students will have approximately 200 hours on completion of their study). This shortfall is usually addressed by taking on other flying jobs prior to applying to the airlines - such jobs include; charter flying, flying instruction, freight/cargo flying, scenic flights etc. In Australia, usually pilots go to country areas and get jobs flying for small commuter airlines. With about 1000 hours experience, pilots can apply to the major airlines (but this may vary depending on the airlines). Australian trained pilots are held in high regard around the world because of Australia's high training standards. In Australia, aviation related jobs can be advertised on www.careerone.com.au <https://www.careerone.com.au/> , www.seek.com.au <https://www.seek.com.au/> , the Australian Federation of Air Pilots is another site were aviation jobs are advertised www.afap.org.au <https://www.afap.org.au/> . The best option would be to go to the airlines websites for information on recruitment of pilots. Please note that Cathay Pacific are now offering an advanced program to pilots with a CPL and 250 hours plus - please go to the Cathay website for more information or the banner on our website.

Education of Overseas Students - There are limited circumstances in which a student’s enrolment may be deferred, suspended or cancelled. This is governed by Standard 13 of the National Code 2007. A student who wishes to defer, suspend or cancel his/her must meet one or more of the following conditions: Unavailability of a course; Delay in the process of visa; or Compassionate and compelling circumstances – are generally beyond the control of the student and have an impact on the student's course progress or wellbeing.
The Australian Government wants overseas students in Australia to have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding place to study. Australia’s laws promote quality education and consumer protection for overseas students. These laws are known as the ESOS framework and they include the Education Services for Overseas (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code 2007. As an overseas student on a student visa, you must study with an education provider and in a course that can be found on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) at https://cricos.dest.gov.au. Please review the ESOS framework at https://aei.gov.au/AEI/ESOS/QuickInfo/ESOS_FrameWork_pdf.pdf. A copy of this framework is attached.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
