1. Aircraft radio station check (set frequency - send –receive)

2. Listen out on same frequency to be familiar with other traffic

3. Listen to ATIS

4. Ask for destination aerodrome weather (special procedure)

5. Ask for current aerodrome information (aerodrome data –take off data) 6. Request start up clearance.
